And when the subsidies stop here in the U.S., all these solar installers that have been popping up like fly-by-nite used car lots did back in the '60's, will disappear faster than they appeared.. along with those 20 year leases. Suckerrrs

Solar power is the most competitive alternative to the products sold at quite a hefty price by the global oil cartel.

End of subsidies equals the end of solar and wind power!!! Problem is the gubmint has tie rate payers in increased rates to fund the ones currently installed!!!

Germany decided to get out of nuclear generation after Japan's disaster and replace it with a mix of renewable and more efficient fossil-fired generators.

There are many overcast days in Germany. Their over reaction to the Japanese nuclear disaster will cause more wasted tax payer funds.

Interesting. Seems Germany has noticed that Mother Nature gives free solar energy refills ;0}
FROM THE ARTICLE:
Electricity from solar panels rose 40 percent in the first quarter compared with a year ago, the BSW said this week. Solar panels generated 3.9 billion kilowatt-hours in the first three months of the year, enough for about 4 million households.

Odd that solar power is so dominant in one the cloudiest nations on the planet. A positive for them versus here; is in Germany they dont get mega large sized hail like we do here.

Subsidy cuts or not, the German citizens are in for a rocky ride over the next few years. Without nukes and coal, they will have to start depending on wind and solar - or go without.

I am guessing it will still keep going and solar will reduce the price some to continue to get the sales.

The Germans ruled that they will have no more nuclear power. This is one of their possible sources for the replacement requirements. Notice that they have an extreme deficit looming over the horizon.
